You must learn one thing, the world was made to be free in. ~David Whyte

Welcome

Thank you for taking this important step on your journey of healing and well being. My name is Stephen Gundlach and I am a psychotherapist working with individuals, couples, teens, and families. I see therapy as a process in which I walk alongside you as a mirror and a guide to your own unfolding understanding of yourself and your unique story. In this process inner strengths and resiliencies are identified, habitual patterns that are no longer helping come to light, and desired growth and change become possible.

Approach

We all have moments in life where we face big challenges, are discovering new parts or ourselves, or simply desire personal growth. Therapy can be an indispensable help in these times. My clinical interests include LGBTQIA+ issues, life transitions, anxiety, depression, career and vocational concerns, relationship and attachment issues, family of origin difficulties, religious trauma, and spiritual concerns. My approach is warm, present, and active. I like to bring a sense of humor to our sessions when that is appropriate and helpful too.

Services

I offer therapy services to individuals, couples, teens, and families. I'm offering video and in person sessions in San Francisco to California residents. Please contact me to set up a free 20 minute phone consultation.
