You must learn one thing, the world was made to be free in. -David Whyte
Welcome
Are you a part of a community, in a relationship, or in a family that used to feel supportive but now feels more complex? Perhaps you are wanting to be more yourself or live more into your identity or life purpose but feel afraid? Change, even if wanted, can come with uncertainty, grief, loneliness, or a feeling of just being lost. My name is Stephen Gundlach and I am a psychotherapist working with adults, teens, and couples navigating change in their relationship to the people and communities they have belonged with.
Approach
I work with LGBTQ+ people navigating relationship and belonging issues. People who are navigating a complex relationship to the Church or significant cultural or religious background. I work with men navigating partner relationships, family life, and career shifts. Couples entering a new chapter. Cult survivors, and and those seeking spiritual support.
Services
My approach is warm, present, and active. My clients experience me as not just a passive listener but a real person in the room. I like to bring a sense of humor when that is appropriate and helpful too. I'm offering video and in person sessions to individuals, couples, and teens in San Francisco to California residents.
